While you’re waiting for the ambulance, if you’re able, take photographs and videos of the following:

Streets signs that indicate where the accident happened;

The positions of all involved vehicles on the road;

Damage to all involved vehicles;

Skidmarks;

Defects in the road should as potholes;

Defects such as foliage obscuring signage

Broken lights or missing stop signs;

All persons involved;

Anything else you think might be a factor in causing the accident such as spilled oil, garbage on the road, etc.
It’s also a good idea to speak to other driver(s) and exchange information that includes their ID, registration and insurance information. You can simply take pictures of the documents with your phone. Don’t count on the police to get this information for you as there could be a delay in getting their report.
